On our Year 3 Ancient Egyptian Immersion Day, our children embarked on an exciting journey through time, immersing themselves in the rich culture of Ancient Egypt. The day kicked off with lively Egyptian dance and music lessons, where the children learned traditional movements and rhythms, bringing the history to life. Next, they ventured into the world of hieroglyphics, creating unique prints using stamps and their creativity, which helped them understand this fascinating writing system.
Year 3 then crafted headdresses inspired by the pharaohs, using colourful materials to express their artistic flair. The final activity involved sequencing key events in Ancient Egyptian history on a timeline, allowing them to connect the dots between significant moments and figures. This hands-on experience not only deepened their understanding of Ancient Egyptian civilisation but also fostered teamwork, creativity, and a lasting appreciation for an incredible period of time.
