To learn the parts of a flowering plant, this week we have dissected tulips in our practical science lessons.
We worked as groups to dissect the tulip and take a close look at its reproductive parts - the anther, stamen, stigma and ovule. We learnt that in these parts the pollen is produced and stored.
We also discovered that the petals are bright and beautiful to attract insects and animals!
