This half term, the Year 2 children will be making puppets as part of our 'Stories through Music' topic. This week, the children have had the opportunity to explore how to sew using the running stitch. It took a lot of concentration and patience!

This half term as part of our story telling topic, Year 2 have been developing their sewing skills and making puppets! Some classes this week have even begun to add features to their puppets, like capes, feathers and wobbly eyes!
This week Year 2 have been learning how to do a running stitch in preparation for them beginning to create their puppets next week. The children have been practising how to use needles safely and how to join materials together by sewing.
