Looking at the different artefacts in the museum was extremely interesting! We even (in true Mrs Bird fashion) decided to bring some drama with us to the museum and recreated scenes we could find in the different sculptures! We used our drama to infer about the past and imagine what might have been happening in each different greek scene! Take a look at our best moments!

Natural History Museum - Year 3 Travelling Back in Time to Ancient Greece!
As part of learning about Ancient Greece, Year 3 took a trip to The Natural History Museum to find out all about the Greeks through pottery, statues, sculptures, jewellery and paintings! We had a fantastic day discovering wonders from the Ancient Greek period.

Year 3 Greek Dancing!
As part of our fantastic Greek Day, the whole of year 3 took part in a Greek dancing workshop led by Mrs Bird and Mrs Townson!
All the children worked extremely hard to learn some Greek moves, stepping in time and using lots of energy! We had to work co-operatively to stay in time as one of the key aspects of Greek dancing is moving in unison as a team! We showed real effort, determination and co-operation and many of us earned house points for our contributions!
Here is a snippet of our brilliant dancing!
