In Maths this week, we have been focusing on addition. At the beginning of the week, we looked at doubling. We solved different doubling problems before moving on to adding on a number line. We have worked really hard in Maths this week and are becoming more independent in with our learning.
In Maths, we learnt how to add and subtract one to and from a two-digit number. We learnt that subtracting or adding one is the same as one more or one less. We used a variety of resources to help us such as 100 squares and dienes. In pairs, we then chose a number to show one more and one less using dienes. We then wrote sentences to prove our answers.
