Tricky Word Writing and Story Maps in Pear Class

Pear Class in Reception have been learning to read and write tricky words this week. Can you see them? We have also been creating a new story map as a class based on the story 'Owl Babies'. We then created our own story maps.

Every Monday we have been developing our fine motor skills. This week our fine motor activities included cutting, using stamps to cut out patterns and even playing games of marble run! Out hands are getting stronger so that we are ready to write. 

Here are some activities you could do at home to help your child:

Wonderful Writers in Reception!

 Apple Class in Reception have been AMAZING at retelling our story, We're Going on a Bear Hunt and were keen to write some of the key words used throughout. 

We practised how to hold our pens and followed the dots to help us with our letter formation.
