In today’s Art lesson, we used clay to create a pot by smoothing it with and fingers and other smoothing tools. We looked at the patterns we created in the previous lessons and used them to help decorate our pots. After creating our tiles, we walked around and looked at our classmate’s work, before providing feedback to each other.
This term, Year 3 have been learning about ceramics and how to use tools to manipulate clay. We learned how to carve into clay using a range of different tools and then used these skills to plan a design and the decorate a clay tile. After we decorated our clay tile, we then created a pinch pot. Once we were happy with the shape of our pots we decorated them.
