Year 2 - Expressing ourselves through the Arts!

Happy Half-Term Year 2!

We hope you are all well and keeping safe. We have been receiving some superb GREEN artistic and creative pieces over the last few days.

I need to ask the Year 2 teachers if they have finished their artwork too!

It is a great way to express yourself. Take a look at some of the masterpieces below and see if they inspire you to get creative too!

Year 2 - GREEN Art for Arts Weeks

Happy Friday Year 2!

We hope you have enjoyed taking part in our Arts Weeks activities this week. Luckily, we can use the outdoors as our inspiration for our Arts Weeks colour - GREEN!

Below are some creative art pieces using 'green' objects collected from outside that we have already received. 

Keep them coming - we love seeing your work. You never know you might inspire your teachers to create some green crafts...watch this space!

What has been happening in Year 6?

Hello Year 6,

I hope you are all keeping well and enjoyed your weekend.

Y3 Olive Class - Flaming Firebird Artwork!

In Olive Tree Class we have been learning how to blend and tone using colour gradient.


We are learning to use show light to dark with our colours, add shadows and highlights!


We have also been learning to look for shapes when sketching to help us draw the Firebird realistically.


Here you can see some of our hardwork paying off - our teachers are super proud of this fabulous artwork!

Nursery Acorn Class - Swan Lake

Acorn Class have taken part in various activities linked to our Arts Week theme 'Swan Lake'.

We made paper plate swans, using a fork to print white feathers.

We manipulated playdough to make swans.

We made swans of different shapes and sizes.

We made Odette and Odile swan masks to help us retell the story.

We made swan sock puppets and created our own puppet shows.

We visited Danson Park in Welling. We feed the ducks and swans. We created a large scale drawing of the lake with swans swimming.

We enjoyed a picnic in the sun.

Miss Dadds let us play in the park for good listening whilst on a trip.
