Year 2 Mini Chef!

Last Friday, Acer Class got to take part in Mini Chef! We made vegetarian Spaghetti Bolognese! We were given the opportunity to investigate and smell a number of herbs and spices and got to peel and chop vegetables to make a delicious meal!

Year 2 Acer's Andy Goldsworthy inspired sculptures!

 As part of Arts Weeks, Acer Class in Year 2 have been learning about Andy Goldsworthy and how his famous sculptures are made from natural and reusable materials. Here are some of our pieces inspired by his work.

Arts Weeks across Year 2!

Year 2 have thrown themselves into Arts Weeks and have undertaken a variety of artistic skills.  Here are some photos to see what we have been up to!

Space Art in Year 2!

 Year 2 have blasted off into Space this first half of the Spring Term and while we are here we have learnt how to draw rockets using lines and shapes to create impact!

Competition Winner!

Well done to all the children who entered the competition to name our new school friend!

We had many inventive entries and some beautiful artwork coming in over the last week which has been wonderful to look at. 

The winner is.... Cianna in Acer Class who has chosen the name 'Dario' and has given him green, brown and red wings. Well done Cianna!
