Year 4 - Victorians Immersion

As part of their history learning, Year 4 took part in an exciting Victorian Immersion Day to experience what life was like during the Victorian era. Throughout the day, the children explored a range of activities including learning about Victorian classrooms and schools, investigating Victorian features around our own school site — which was built in 1903 — and discovering how people travelled during Victorian times. The pupils also enjoyed playing traditional playground games such as marbles and hopscotch, helping to bring history to life in a fun and memorable way.

Here are some photos from our learning:

Summer Term in Year 1

Children were introduced to new topics today. In Geography, children will be learning about weather in the UK and how weather in far away places can be different. They enjoyed making weather vanes ti identify the direction of the wind

In PE children will be learning yoga and today they had a taster, holding poses inspired by plants.

In Science, children planted seeds so they can record how they grow over the term.
