We have been learning about light and shadows in Year 3. In today's lesson, we investigated how moving a light source affected the size of an object's. We used rulers to measure the distance of the light sources and the size of the shadows. We found out that moving an object towards a light source increased the shadows size and moving object away from the light source decreased its size.
In PE this week, we have been using the climbing apparatus to practise different ways of travelling, balancing and jumping. We have been demonstrating different jumps such as a pencil and a star jump.
We were recently visited by some friends from Trinity Laban in Greenwich for a morning of live performances for the year 4 classes. All the children were treated to some singing and instrument playing by the Trinity Label students, who are all preparing for professional music careers. Some of the children even joined in and directed the musicians!
We were treated to a Samba performance by some of our year 5 students last week who have been working with Mrs Stamp from Woolwich Poly Girls this term on their Samba playing skills.
It was GREAT. They performed to the rest of the year 5 children.
Well done to all the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 who received an award on Friday.
