Year 6 French - Linguascope in Elder and Birch

On Friday afternoon a group of Year 6 pupils combined French and Computing by working in pairs and using laptops to access Linguascope. The children completed a variety of online listening, reading and writing activities in French and played lots of fun vocabulary games to learn how to recognise 'les dizaines' (Tens) to help them with their understanding of French numbers. They even sat the end of unit assessment to see just how much they had learnt and then printed their own certificates.

Here's what some of the pupils said about their lesson:

"I am so proud the that we got 100% on the assessment - I've learnt lots today."

"The best thing about Linguascope is all the games we can play, it makes our learning so much fun!"

"I can understand the French words easily, but Linguascope helps me actually be able to say and write them accurately."

If you want to know more about Linguascope and how you can access the app and website at home to teach yourselves more French (and other languages!), ask Madame Ansell for more information.
