Year 4 indoor P.E - Aerobics

This term in indoor P.E we have been exploring what is aerobic activity and why it is important.

We learnt about the benefits of aerobic exercise, explored exercises that targeted our upper body, lower body and core muscle groups and then explored the difference between aerobic and anaerobic activity.

To bring all of our learning together, we ended the term by becoming aerobic fitness instructors! Using our knowledge we created and demonstrated our own fitness routines, combining a sequence of exercises to engage all of our muscle groups.

Year 4 outdoor P.E.- Cricket

This term in outdoor P.E., Year 4 have been developing the key skills needed to take part in cricket.

We have explored bowling, batting, catching and fielding, practising different techniques to improve our accuracy and control. We also learnt how to use the short barrier and long barrier techniques to stop the ball effectively when fielding.

We are looking forward to putting all of these skills together as we begin practising cricket games next term!

Art Group Competing

The Art group used watercolours to create images for the annual Christmas card competition run by our MP, Abena Oppong-AsarAbena. The theme for this year's competition is: "Christmas in Our Community". Best of luck to all entrants!

Sycamore perform the Ramayana.

Today we revisited the story of Rama and Sita. The story is a celebration of how good triumphs and is remembered by Hindus every year during Diwali.  Today, we worked in groups to re-tell the story through dance.
