Back in October, as part of our music learning in Year 6, we visited the Primary Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. We had to learn new rhythms and repetitive parts to tell the story of the music.

Book Quiz - Y3 & Y4
After school on Tuesday Miss Hartley led the popular Bannockburn Book Quiz at Manor Way. For this latest quiz the children in Y3 & Y4 were asked to read the books, Betsey Biggalow and Tom's Midnight Garden. Miss Hartley acted as the quiz master and the children worked collaboratively in small groups to answer a selection of questions about both books. It was great to see so many of the children participate in this educational yet fun event. The winning team will be announced soon.

Year 4 - Ash Tree trip to London Zoo
On Monday, Ash tree class went to London Zoo to find out about the adaptations animals in the rainforest have made to survive. We went to the Rainforest Life area, which replicates a rainforest environment. We also stepped into the darkness of the Night-Life area. It was here that we discovered how nocturnal animals survive in the rainforest.

Y5 Rowan Class - Titanic Homework
As part of the Year 5 topic, Titanic, one of the pupils from Rowan Class created a fantastic model of the famous unsinkable ship. She made the model at home as one of the suggested activities from the Y5 homework list. Using papier-mâché and Plaster of Paris, she carefully moulded the bow of the Titanic. I think it is fair to say that the result looks absolutely brilliant!
Nursery Celebrations - Acorn Class
Miss Dadds read the story of Rama and Sita and told us how the Festival of Light is celebrated.
We have decorated paper hands with henna and made our own diva lamps using clay.
Later in the week we built our own bonfire in the Forest School in preparation for Bonfire Night.
