This week Oak tree went to visit the Ragged school museum, learning about how school have changed over time. The Victorian school was very different to Bannockburn. Using different material to write, like slate and chalk and they also got to see different methods schools in that era would use to sit up straight.
"The teacher was very strict!"
After lunch, we visited another room which was set us to look like an old photograph of a house with everything in one room. We even got to see the original photo the room was based on and some of the things they would have used then.
We got to learn about all the different method they would use to wash and iron clothes without modern electricity.
We had a blast visiting the school and be able to take a glimpse into the Victorian era.
"Can we sleep here!"
