RE with Lime Class

Today, the children in Lime Class (Year 1) worked in partners to sequence the story of how God created the world.

Firstly, we thought about everything we could remember about Christianity. We shared how the place of worship is the church and the sign of Christianity is the cross. We also know that the holy book is the bible and that it is split into two parts, the Old Testament and the New Testament. Lime Class children have been looking at some bible stories for the past few weeks, so today we shared what we could remember about Noah's Arc.

We watched a short video, which showed us how God created the world. We then used the pictures and our knowledge to sequence it, thinking about what came first and what came last.

Here are some of the quotes from the children .

"God called the light day and the dark night." Genesis

"God made the earth and the sky." Suzzy

"God made the sun and the moon...and the stars." Jude

"God got lots of animals like elephants and tigers to live on Earth." Ashley

"God put plants and flowers and trees on the land." Bianca
