This week, Year 2 have taken some of their lessons outside! Learning outside is great because it helps to create memorable learning experiences and gives us freedom.
Here are pictures of a Maths lesson where we played Times Table Tadpoles! We were all given numbers in the 2, 5 and 10 times tables. We had to pair up and multiply our numbers together. We then swapped the numbers around and got the same answer. This showed us that multiplication is commutative. We then used our numbers to divide, but we found out that division is NOT commutative.
We also completed a Science lesson outside! After discussing what living things are, we went to the forest school and garden to look for:
- Things that were living
- Things that were dead
- Things that have never lived
