I just wanted to show this fantastic model of a World War 2 tank, which was a piece of homework completed by a pupil in Year 5 Maple Class. It took over two weeks to complete (with a little help with some adults).

Year 5 & Year 6 Christmas Concert
On Friday 15th December the children from Years 5 & 6 walked up to Plumstead Manor School (thankfully when it was not raining!) for our Christmas Concert. It was great to see so many parents/carers come along and support the children as they sang a brilliant variety of Christmas songs.
Christmas Lunch at Manor Way
Many thanks to all the kitchen staff who really put in so much effort to make this year's Christmas Lunch at Manor Way so special. The children loved it!
Mayor of Greenwich Christmas Carols
We were really pleased to be invited back to sing at the Mayor of Greenwich carol evening. The choir members who came sang beautifully. They had already sung in both the Year 5 and 6 Christmas concerts..... and had their Christmas lunch at school.
We are so proud of the children for their singing and professionalism.
Reception - Pear Tree Finds Fiery Friends.
On Tuesday 5th December, all of the Reception classes visited Plumstead Fire Station. We wore our hi-visibility jackets (safety first!) and paired up before walking to the station.
When we arrived we were greeted by some of the station's firefighters. We listened carefully to some instructions before taking a look around each of their two huge fire engines! We looked at the hoses and other equipment before sitting in one of the vehicle!
Afterwards, we watched two fire fighters whizz down the fire pole, just like they would in a real emergency! We even got to watch one of them put on all of their uniform!
Take a look at our amazing time below...

Pop-Up Bike Market
On Thursday 14th December Bannockburn held a pop-up Bike Market on the Manor Way site, organised by Peddle My Wheels (www.peddlemywheels.com).
Approximately 15 bikes were brought into school to be checked over and serviced.
At the end of the school day the bikes were then available to buy. In total, 17 bicycles were bought by parents, which is a great result!

Year 3 & Year 4 Christmas Concert
Well done to all the children who battled against the rain and walked up the hill to Plumstead Manor School for our Year 3 & Year 4 Christmas Concert on Wednesday 13th December 2017.
The children sang a great variety of festive songs, including one in French, much to the delight of all the parents and carers who came along.
