Voila! - Year 4 present the world's weather in French

Last week in French, our topic of weather and the Francophone World cumulated in a French weather presentation. After planning our weather reports, we practised reading our sentences aloud and some even managed to memorise them. Then we stood up and presented our Francophone World weather maps to our classmates.

Year 4s combine French and Geography

As part of our French topic this term, we spent a lesson working in groups where we learnt about some famous areas of France and the different landscapes found there. Then, once we could locate them on a map, we practised using weather phrases that relate to the different regions.

Have you ever visited France? What was the area or region like? What human and physical features were there? What was the weather like?

Year 4 French & Geography combined!

This week Year 4 have been learning about France and its geography. We looked at different famous places in the North, South East and West of the country and talked about how what the weather and climate might be different in those regions. We watched some videos and used our French weather phrases to guess what the weather might be in the area - soon we will be making our own weather maps for France!
