Our Junior Leadership Team

Our school Junior Leadership Team class reps have now been democratically elected by our classmates.

As JLT, we represent our classmates, sharing their feedback, suggestions and ideas on our school curriculum, community and and day-to-day organisation in half-termly meetings with Mrs Seaton and Miss Brownless.

If you have ideas to share about the playground, your learning, the school environment, our school meals..... anything you can think of related to our school community, let us know and we will be your voice. We look forward to helping making Bannockburn even more amazing than it is already!

Junior Leadership Team

This week Mrs Seaton met with Junior Leadership Team members from both KS1 and KS2, where they shared feedback and comments from their classmates and friends about different topics related to our school and the local community.

Well done and thank you to our two team members who took the minutes today.

The JLT represent your class' voice, so if you have any comments, thoughts or suggestions, let you class JLT reps know and it will be raised at our next meeting.

Year 5 know their rights...DO YOU?

Year 5 have been learning about the rights they are entitled to, alongside their responsibilities. For example, we know we have the right to be loved and respected, but also know we have the responsibility to show love and respect to others. A matching activity, where we matched the rights to their responsibilities, helped us think deeper about what is expected from us too.

As a class, we selected a few rights and responsibilities to create our own class charter, which we all had to sign – including the adults!

Finally, in a column, from top to bottom, we had to order the rights from which we thought was the most important, to the least. It was certainly a struggle as we saw the importance in every single one. Therefore, some of us thought ‘out of the box’ and lined all the rights in one straight line at the top to show that they all are important in different ways.

Each class also has a specific right to focus on each month, which right are you focusing on this January?
