The Values Team made certificates for the children to give out in their own class for pupils they spot showing empathy (value of the month). They are excited to hand out their cards to their peers for showing examples of empathy during their learning and at break times.
Today the Art pupil leadership group met for the first time today. They created winter sky landscapes with silhouettes of local landmarks. They were then presented with a certificate.
The Eco Squad is a team of children who care about our planet and want to help make our school a greener, cleaner place!
We looked at ways that we can work together to look after the environment, reduce waste and to remind everyone how important it is to care for nature.
What We Do:
Remind classes to recycle and save energy.
Check that taps and lights are turned off when not needed.
Help keep our playground and garden tidy and full of wildlife.
One way we discussed that helps us is to use positive reinforcement. These are statements we can say to others, but also to ourselves.
