Bannockburn Bistro at Manor Way

On Friday 4 pupils from Year 4 were invited to have lunch at the Bannockburn Bistro. To gain one of these special invitations you need to show great dining room manners throughout the week.

Merit Certificate Winners in Year 5

Well done to all the children who were recognised with Merit Certificates on Friday during the Achievement Assemblies at Manor Way.

Always Club at Manor Way

On Friday 8 pupils from Year 4 were selected to go along to Always Club. These children were selected due to consistently showing the school values over the entire week. The children had a great time playing table tennis and then enjoying some well deserved refreshments back in Woodlands.

Football skills in Cherry Class (Reception)

This week in P.E. we have be learning how to kick a ball.

We started off the week by dribbling the ball slowly from one cone to another. We then learnt how to dribble a ball while running.

Here are some photos of the children practising dribbling.

Year 4 Pine Class love Linguascope

This week Year 4 Pine Class had opportunities to use the iPads and use the app, Linguascope, to start learning new vocabulary on the topic on Transport which links to their Town topic.

Remember you can use Linguascope at home to teach yourself French or Spanish (or a number of other languages!) and the website and downloadable app are available for all pupils to use.

Ask your teacher for the most up-to-date login details if you need them!

Art with Year 1

This half term we will be looking at nature and plants in art. Today, we looked at different patterns in nature and used lines to recreate what they could see. The children were given a selection of plants, leaves and petals to stick into their books. They then used their observational skills to draw the patterns and designs.

Emerald House Garden

An early of delivery of plants arrived at Manor Way site and the children were very excited to unpack and see what had arrived. Although some structural work needs to be done before the final gardens are planted, children from KS2 enjoyed placing the plants in temporarily. They decided to make a giant E from salvaged bricks - just in case anyone is in doubt that it is Emerald House garden.
