Reception - What is the perfect superhero?

In Reception we have been thinking what we think is the perfect superhero. We’ve thought about what it may look like, what it may wear, what its super powers may be. We’ve thought about worked with a partner to make our perfect superhero using play dough.
What would you perfect superhero look like?

What Makes the Perfect Superhero? P4C in Reception

Following on from our 'Superhero' day on Monday we have been reading and creating our own superhero stories. We have discussed the different superhero characters we know and the problems they have to resolve.

We explored the inquiry, 'What makes the perfect superhero?'. In pairs, the children created what they considered the perfect superhero using playdough. They justified why they had given their superhero specific features to make them 'perfect'.

Here are some of their comments:

"Be strong." Ethan

"Stretchy arms to save people." Jessica

"Run fast." Isa

"Captain America is perfect because he fights crime and catches badies." Bernard

"He needs a cape to fly." David

"Can create lightening and thunder." Aayden

"Supergirl because she rescues people." Maya

Nursery - Hip Hip Hooray for Superworm!

We had been making props to support our role play. We made superhero hats and Miss Dadds gave us a superhero cape to take home.

In the Forest School we created our own magic potions to help save Superworm. We found natural resources and mixed them together, singing our Superworm chant.
