Year 2 - Busy Bees!

Good morning Year 2! Another Monday begins again!

We have had some super home learning across the last few weeks
linked to our Arts Weeks.

Soon, there will be some other exciting Home Learning tasks uploaded on to our website for you to complete. Thank you to all of you for showing many of our school values by working from home! We are really proud of you all!

Rainbows!

These brothers have painted their hands using their year groups colour!

William has drawn this tropical toucan!

A lovely lion made from leaves!

Lucas made this superb rainbow canvas thanking the NHS!
This child from Cedar Class has been practising his drawing skills!
We have also been reading some of your writing tasks that go alongside your art activities. We have been particularly impressed with Ian's poems, persuasive writing and information writing about Henri Rousseau!

Fantastic work Ian!

Keep working hard and showing our values of perseverance, determination and effort! You really inspire us all!

We miss you all.

Some more GREEN work from Year 2!

Hello Year 2!

Keep your home learning Arts Weeks bits coming in!

One child from Beech class has used recyclable materials at home to create this cool green turtle! He is even wearing green camouflaged clothes in his photo!

Another child from Year 2 has been planting some seeds and growing some green plants. Look at how much they have grown already!

Fab efforts Year 2 - Keep up the good work!

Here are my drawings of rainforest animals that I completed last week. I really enjoyed colouring them in and imagining what the animals would look like living amongst the green trees in the rainforest!

If you follow these YouTube videos you can draw the animals too!

See you all soon,
Miss Bethell

Year 2 - GREEN Art for Arts Weeks

Happy Friday Year 2!

We hope you have enjoyed taking part in our Arts Weeks activities this week. Luckily, we can use the outdoors as our inspiration for our Arts Weeks colour - GREEN!

Below are some creative art pieces using 'green' objects collected from outside that we have already received.

Keep them coming - we love seeing your work. You never know you might inspire your teachers to create some green crafts...watch this space!

Wonderful work by Millie-Rose. It really looks like the Scadbury pond!

William's Natural Art - Beautiful!
Another amazing collage of a rainforest using natural materials!

Aalia has been inspired by the famous artist Henri Rousseau - what a fab jungle drawing!

William also told us why we should protect the rainforest!

Enjoy the half-term week and continue working creatively on your Arts tasks.

We look forward to seeing you all soon.
