Maps in Year 1

In Geography this term, we explored maps. We mapped our classroom as well as our playground. We used symbols and key to show information.

 

Printing with Lime Tree.

 In Art, Lime Tree have enjoyed creating their own print by drawing a design onto styrofoam before using paint and rollers to print. 

Making Clay Pots with Lime Tree.

Today the children loved manipulating the clay to make a pot. They could follow instructions to make the pot and used utensils to etch different designs to their clay

 

Year 1 visit Lesnes Abbey.

Today we visited Lesnes Abbey. We enjoyed identifying different parts of the ruins, naming some physical and human features we could see and making some nature collages with leaves and twigs.
