In this week's RE lesson, we continued to look at what different faiths believe about the creation of the world. This week, we discussed how Muslim people believe that Allah is the creator of the world and everything in it. We learnt about how Muslim people show thanks to Allah through appreciation of nature, looking after the world and prayer. We appreciated nature by heading to Forest School, selecting our leaves and doing a leaf rubbing.

Y3 Drama in English - Stone Age Boy
This week, Year 3 went to the Manor Way Forest School for the first time! All classes got to act out the moment our main character gets transported from a muddy path to a mountain top in our English focus text: Stone Age Boy. We really enjoyed using real-life props such as stones, sticks and boulders to add dramatic effect to this very important scene. We are looking forward to visiting our fantastic Forest School soon for more practical learning outdoors.

French in the Forest School
This week Year 5 are taking their French lessons outside and used our Manor Way Forest School as their learning space.
As part of the lesson, the children took part in a Sentence Search, where they hunted high and low for French and English translations of different sentences. All sentences contained the verb Jouer (to play) but using different pronouns; the children said it was a fun way to discover and explore French conjugation for the first time.
Here are Aspen and Rowan enjoying their outdoor learning.
