Year 5 Science - Making Playdough

Thank you to Mrs Henry and the two Year 5 students who practised their measuring skills while making playdough for Year 5's science lesson on water resistance. We are really looking forward to using it!

Reception - See how Pear Tree measures up.

This week in Reception Pear Tree class we have been looking at measuring. We began by thinking about the difference between length and height before comparing and ordering ourselves in height order. 

After that we looked at some of the characters from The Gruffalo and measured them using cubes. 

We then went around the classroom and found anything and everything to measure, from boxes to books!

Reception - Orange Tree measures up!

This week Orange Tree have been looking at all things to do with measure. We thought about all of the things that we could measure, including length, height, weight and time. We used different resources to measure things around us as well as different dinosaurs. We compared lengths and heights and some of us discussed which items/animals were longer/taller than others.
