Vive La France!!!! - Today is Bastille Day!

Bonjour tout le monde!

We celebrated our annual French Day back in February, but today in France (July 14th) is Bastille Day - a national holiday and very important celebration of French history and society.

You might remember learning about Bastille Day and the French Revolution on July 14th last year, but in case you do not remember, here is a video for you!



If you want to see how different the Bastille Day celebrations were this year, here is a video from Paris this morning, showing the parades and ceremonies that took place -with far fewer people and crowds.


Why not use the following video to make a cockade (cocarde in French), which is a special badge rosette that became a symbol of the revolution and Bastille Day......
