Note, Develop and Research! Year 5 become researchers...

Year 5 have been learning about the Anglo-Saxons this half term, which required us to use laptops, books, fact files, Ipads and artefacts from our class topic table to explore our topic further for our English learning. 

Today, we carried out research to gather information about Anglo-Saxon life in readiness for writing a non-chronological report. We decided to make notes about a variety of aspects about Anglo-Saxon life, including religion and beliefs, clothing, villages, childhood, jewellery and buildings.

Year 5 - What do you think we discovered at the British Museum?

Year 5 went on an educational trip to the British Museum. There was so much information to discover: Anglo Saxon jobs, Personal Adornment, Frank's Casket etc. It was a really productive day as we combed through the museum's galleries, with our booklets, researching facts and making close observational drawings.
