Busy day in Nursery

Today, the children explored the provision planned by their teachers in Nursery. They engaged in role play, selling ice creams, fruits, and vegetables. Children built friendships through imaginative games, such as constructing towers out of bricks. They developed fine motor skills by scooping and pouring in the sandpit, and supported their cognitive development by solving puzzles. Children also enjoyed reading books in the book corner, learning through pictures and words.

Exercising in Acorn class and Conker class!

In Nursery, we have been learning about how to keep ourselves fit and healthy. This week we have been discussing why exercising is so important for our bodies, and different ways to exercise. We have tried Zumba and a workout with Joe Wicks!

Fruity Fun in Nursery

After a week of learning about keeping ourselves healthy, Conker and Acorn classes, spent the morning making fruit kebabs the children used juicy watermelon, banana and tangerine. They then enjoyed eating their kebabs at snack time!

We also have been playing together in our fruit and vegetable shop.

Looking after ourselves in Nursery

This week we have been learning how to keep ourselves clean as part of our learning about health and self care. We have talked about the key things we need to do every day in order to keep clean including

  • washing our hands
  • having a shower or bath
  • brushing our teeth
  • wearing clean clothes
We have been putting this into practise by looking after the babies.
