This week in Maths Year 2 have been recapping many different strategies for addition. We worked together to choose different items from our 'class shop' and add them together using different strategies and resources to support us.
We have gained even more confidence when adding addends together and we have enjoyed working together with our shoulder partners and groups.

In Maths , we spent time solving worded Maths problems. We done this by read and understanding what the word problems were asking us. We then used our knowledge of addition and subtraction to solve the problems. We used a variety of manipulatives to help us.
In Maths, we are learning how to add 3 addends together. We created our own ' First, then and now' stories to add 3 addends. To solve the story, we used number lines and addition sentences to help us. Take a look below to see!
Today in the lodge, some children in Year 3, took part in a buying and selling activity. They sorted money into the correct values and used this money to buy different items. These included fruit, biscuits, balloons and drinks.
We had a fantastic time learning all about money! Yum!!!
