Year 2 Visit the London Canal Museum!

Year 2 went on a trip to the London Canal Museum to learn about life on a canal and what they were used for. The children were able to explore a traditional canal boat, dress up in clothes worn during that period in history and experience what life would have been like living on a canal boat. The children were also able to explore what was transported along the Canals, such as fine bone china, coal and even horse manure! The children especially enjoyed being able to look around the Museum to explore and interact with the many artefacts.

Sir Scallywag and the Golden Underpants!

"Sir Scallywag is mighty!
Sir Scallywag is bold!
It doesn't seem to matter he is only six years old!"

Year 2 went on a trip to the Barbican theatre to watch the London Symphony Orchestra perform to the book of “Sir Scallywag and the Golden Underpants!”
The children loved the theatre and enjoyed watching the Orchestra perform, joining in and singing along to the performance.

The London Symphony Orchestra said, “We loved having you all come to see us and are glad you enjoyed the performance. We look forward to seeing you again.”

The children especially enjoyed seeing the variety of instruments played.
