Busy day in Nursery

Today, the children explored the provision planned by their teachers in Nursery. They engaged in role play, selling ice creams, fruits, and vegetables. Children built friendships through imaginative games, such as constructing towers out of bricks. They developed fine motor skills by scooping and pouring in the sandpit, and supported their cognitive development by solving puzzles. Children also enjoyed reading books in the book corner, learning through pictures and words.

Adjectival agreement in Spanish - Year 6

Year 6 have been working hard to understand how adjectival agreement works in Spanish. They have learnt the rules of feminine/masculine and singular/plural nouns, how these affect the ending of the adjective and how to change and adapt the descriptors and articles so they do make sense in a sentence.

Last week, we had pictures of uniforms from different schools and we had to describe them using the adjectival agreement principle. Children enjoying walking around the classroom talking to their friends in Spanish.

La familia - Year 5

Year 5 has enjoyed the start of their new topic in Spanish: La familia (The family). They started learning the vocabulary of different members of the family, and last week they were able to write a fully grammatically correct sentence to tell how many people are there in their family and who they are. They learnt the verb "hay" which means "there is/there are," to support them in their sentence writing.

We are teachers! Year 3 Spanish

Year 3 had an amazing Spanish lesson last week in which they pretended to be different teachers from the school. They greeted and asked each other's names, using their knowledge of the vocabulary learnt, enabling to have a short interaction in Spanish!
