As part of our Maths Investigations, Linden Tree class faced Miss Ansell and Mr Griffiths in the Dragons Den, hoping to convince them both to invest in our meticulously planned business ventures.
With a budget of £500,000, each group designed a space-age theme park, calculating set up costs for all the rides, amusements and amenities. We then calculated potential profits based on entry ticket costs and projected guest numbers, whilst ensuring our maintenance costs and wages for the first month would be met. The task needed teamwork, organisation and lots of tricky calculations and after some scrutiny from the Dragons about the profitability of the theme parks, a best group was chosen - congratulations to our top group!
