Gardening at High Street

We were very busy in the last few weeks of the academic year caring for our garden. The weather was very warm so we watered our garden almost every day.

We were so excited to see some of the fruit and vegetables growing and lots of us got the chance to taste some.

Some we gave to the school cook so we could enjoy them with our lunches.

We enjoy watering all of the pretty flowers.

We had great fun digging up lots of potatoes.

We found some spring onions and carrots.

We pulled up some of our beetroot and gave them to the cook who cooked them for us to eat with our lunch.

Our strawberries were very sweet.

We cut some parsley to use in our cooking (look out for our next post!)

We think we had more peas than ever before!

We picked our first courgette.
