In Year 4, during our maths learning this term, we have used money to help us learn about pounds and pence. We practised recognising coins and notes, adding amounts together and giving change when buying items. We also solved money problems that involved multiple steps, such as working out total costs and calculating how much change was needed. We enjoyed taking turns being shopkeepers and customers while building our confidence using money in everyday situations.
