Sports Days - Current Scores!

With all but two Sports Days left to go (Year 2 next Monday, followed by Year 6 on Tuesday), these are the current scores for the four house teams:

1st Place - Alizarin (1581 points)
2nd Place - Emerald (1337 points)
3rd Place - Indigo (1307 points)
4th Place - Ochre (1268 points)

There are still plenty of points to achieve next week, so these positions could well be very different after next week.

Year 4 - Electricity

This week Year 4 have continued exploring Electricity! We really enjoyed learning about the purpose of a switch in a circuit. After making a simple series circuit, we decided to make our own switches using foil, card and split pins. This allowed us to see how electric current can flow or stop flowing in a circuit.

Achievement Assembly at High St

Congratulations to all the children who were recognised in last Friday's Achievement Assembly on the High St site.

Rights Respecting - growing plants for food

This afternoon, whilst Year 4 were having their sports day, the Rights Respecting pupil group had a meeting out on the astro-turf area in front of the Lodge. Led by Mrs Britton, the group discussed the importance of producing your own food from growing plants. The children planted seeds in small pots in order to grow into plants.

Year 3 Sports Day at Manor Way

Another beautiful day of sunshine for yesterday's Year 3 Sports Day here on the MW site. It was lovely to see so many parents come along to cheer on the children.

Breakfast Club at Manor Way

Now that the sun is finally shining we have opened up the glass doors on the Lodge in the morning so that the children in Breakfast Club can have an 'alfresco breakfast'!
