This week in Group 1A we have been busy creating paintings and drawing pictures, as well as carrying out another Science experiment. Take a look at the pictures below.

Le Petit Prince - the most famous French children's story

Bonjour tout le monde!

Hopefully, you have found time during lockdown to read some 'livres' - whether hard copies from your bookshelf or digital downloads on an electronic device.

One of the most famous classic French children's stories is Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exubéry.

Here are  number of different ways you can explore this amazing story this Summer:

Year 5 Home Learning

Well done to everybody who has completed their home learning tasks this week.

Here are some examples of the fantastic learning that has taken place this week at home.

Gurneet has written a thought-provoking acrostic poem. We really like the adventurous vocabulary you have chosen, Gurneet.

Dylan has also used some adventurous vocabulary in his acrostic poem. Can you spot the simile he has used?

Dylan's newspaper report shows an amazing amount of effort and it is clear that he drafted and edited his writing to include a range of punctuation and sentence structures. Well done Dylan!

Rhia has also written an engaging newspaper report. She has written in clear paragraphs and has included quotes. We love the alliteration in the heading! A fantastic effort Rhia!

Year 4 Home Learning

Year 4 children have shared some fantastic work from their Home Learning this week.

One girl in Poplar Class has been spending a lot of time gardening. Her micro-cress flowers, radish and lettuce has started to grow but he viola, chilli pepper and pansy are yet to sprout. She has also completed her dot to dot activity which turned out to be two penguins.

Saanvi has successful completed her home learning tasks for the week.

Well done Year 4 pupils for all your had work. We hope to get more wonderful submissions of your Home Learning next week. Stay safe!

Reading Eggs

As reading is a great way to relax and take time to yourself, I thought it would be a good idea to see how each class is doing on Reading Eggs. So each week I will also look at the usage to see which class has been reading the most through this online app. This week the results are as follows:

Oak - 13.5 hours

Poplar – 14.1 hours

Pine - 7.3 hours

Ash – 16.7 hours

Well done again this week to Ash class! Keep up the good work everyone!
