In today's lesson, we looked at quadrilaterals and their right angles. We cut out different quadrilaterals and put them around a point. We discovered that we can only fit 4 right angles around a point. A right angle has 90° and so we deduced that there is 360° around a point.

Year 3: Maths - Rectangles
Today, we
looked at squares and rectangles and learnt that all squares are rectangles. We
then identified shapes that were squares by checking that their sides were all
the same length and their vertices were all right angles. We then drew our own
squares, checking they had the correct properties.

Year 4 Spanish Learning
Children in Year 4 have been learning how to build sentences in Spanish, using the correct grammar and applying the vocabulary they have learnt this term. They were able to write (and understand) sentences using adverbials, verbs, noun and adjectives in their correct order in Spanish, focusing on understanding the words and the order of the sentence. The theme of this half term was "Transport".
Year 6 Spanish Fashion Show!
As part of their Spanish learning this term, Year 6 hosted a Fashion Show. Children represented their groups by walking the official ‘catwalk’ to Spanish/ Latin American music and described each other's outfits in Spanish, using the third grammatical person. They all had a wonderful time and show resilience and determination in their learning.
Year 4 - Computing
Year 4 have been learning how to edit photos for a purpose using rotation, cropping, recolouring and removing backgrounds. They made some fantastic images linked to the Old Vic performance of 'The Sweet Life' they will be performing later in the week.
Year 4 - Geography
Year 4 have been busy learning about the physical geography of Earth, including how to describe locations using lines of latitude and longitude. We had fun testing what we have learnt by planning an adventure for explorer Feng Jing, following strict guidelines about the sorts of places she needed to visit.

Year 5 Art - Sewing
Year 5 children have been practising the values of patience and resilience whilst completing a challenging sewing project. They have built upon previously taught skills and developed their independence.
