Reception Stay and Play

Feelings and Behaviour



On the 9th March all the Reception classes held a 'Stay and Play', focusing on feelings and behaviour. We invited the Reception parents into school to see how their children socially interact with each other, share toys and work co-operatively to play games and participate in activities.

We were thrilled with the number of parents who attended and showed their support for both the school and their children. It was a good opportunity for staff in Reception to chat with parents and carers about how to support their children socially and emotionally and to help support parents with individual learning needs.

It was a wonderful opportunity to see the parents getting involved in their child's learning and encouraging their self-esteem and confidence.
