This year, Bannockburn has forged alliances with Welling Football Club to provide some unique learning activities in Year 6. The school has selected a group of 12 pupils to engage in a variety of physical education activities, such as football, rugby, running, hurdling etc.
One of the aims of these activities is to develop greater collaboration and teamwork skills amongst our Year 6 pupils, in order to give them the necessary skills for the transition to secondary school.
Using the school mini-bus, every Friday afternoon we transport the children to the Welling Football Club training ground at Swingate Lane.
Today, the children engaged in a variety of team games, running using a parachute and also managed to find the time to make some fruit kebabs!
