Nursery Celebrations - Acorn Class

 In Acorn class we having been learning about different festivals which take place at this time of year. This week we explored Diwali and Bonfire night.

Miss Dadds read the story of Rama and Sita and told us how the Festival of Light is celebrated.

We have decorated paper hands with henna and made our own diva lamps using clay.

Later in the week we built our own bonfire in the Forest School in preparation for Bonfire Night.  

We collected leaves and twigs and placed them in a pile. We rubbed our twigs together to start the bonfire and pretended to toast marshmallows.
