This week, we have been working collaboratively across KS2 to carry out a Maths Investigation. each day, we mixed up in our classes As the pupils at the Manor way site have benefitted from new facilities, such as the astro-turf pitch and the Lodge , we decided that we would concentrate on how the outdoor facilities at our High Street could be improved.
"We looked at what playground equipment we could buy to give children at High Street more to do at playtime and lunchtime. We compared the prices from different companies for trampolines, trim trails, log walks and tunnel slides. We were surprised by the difference in cost between the different companies. We will tell Mrs Ford and the governors what equipment we think will be best for the children at High Street."- Mya
"In my group, we thought about what sports children might enjoy. We tested some of the different sports and took our pulse after playing each of them. We want the children at High Street to play sports which raise their pulse so they will stay healthy. Rugby, running and football raised our pulses the most. We want them to have a running track and plenty of balls and targets so they can stay active." -Eben
