Have you noticed...?

If you have been to the Manor Way site this week you may have noticed that the outside of the building looks a little bit different.

We currently have scaffolding going up around the whole of the main building. This is due to the building having a new replacement roof. As some of you may be aware, there have been numerous attempts to repair the existing roof due to the fact it is not 100% water tight. This has caused internal damage to some of the top floor classrooms.

Greenwich Council has agreed to finance the cost of replacing the existing roof. The school met with the Borough and the building contractors and it was confirmed that the roof will be replaced in small sections, in order to not leave the building exposed to any bad weather. In addition, our beautiful little turrets and other decorative features on the roof will also be given a makeover. Hopefully, the new roof will be completed by early 2019 (January/February).

In the meantime, life at Manor Way will continue as normal. None of the children's learning will be affected by the works. The school and Borough are closely monitoring the construction works so that they meet all UK building safety standards.
