Keeping active in Year 6!

Hello everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful sunshine - it has been absolutely lovely this week! Make sure you're keeping hydrated, especially if you are exercising. Try to drink at least 8 cups of water throughout the day and make sure you're limiting sugary drinks.

This morning, we completed a ten minute 'chair workout' provided by Joe Wicks. These are great when you've been sat at a desk working as they help to get the blood flowing around the body.

Please make sure you check with an adult before using YouTube.

This afternoon, we went outside (remembering to stay in the shade) and learnt some new mobility stretches. We identified different muscles in our bodies and learnt a stretch for each. We held each stretch for 16-20 seconds and then pushed our bodies a little deeper into the stretch. Here are some examples of the stretches we did for you to try too.

Stretching improves flexibility and helps to improve your posture. It is also great to help our body and mind feel calm and peaceful.

Happy stretching!
