Year 4 Visit Charlton Athletic FC

 

During the summer term, a group of Year 4 pupils enjoyed a reward trip to Charlton Athletic for an exciting stadium tour. The children learned about the club’s history while exploring behind the scenes, including a visit to the dressing rooms, walking through the players’ tunnel to pitch side, and sitting in the stands to take in the impressive view of the stadium. It was a memorable experience and a well-deserved reward for their effort throughout the term.


Did You Know?
Charlton Athletic are nicknamed “The Addicks” because, many years ago, local fish and chip shop owners would give the players haddock and chips after matches. Over time, “haddocks” was shortened to “Addicks”, and the nickname has stuck ever since!
