This week in Pear Tree we began our very first phonics sessions. We learnt four new sounds ('s', 'a', 't' and 'p') as well as the tricky word 'the'. With each new day, we discovered how each letter was formed and how to sound them out, using a range of songs and actions to help us.
At the end of the week we were set a challenge: who could remember the most letters and sounds!
