Healthy Body, Healthy Brain Cookery Classes

Some of Years 5&6 are taking part in a series of cookery classes to learn some useful kitchen skills and some handy recipes. Last week, we made homemade tomato sauce and pasta. We even found a bit of time to read some Good Food magazines to get some ideas for our next cooking session.

The skills we developed were:
- chopping an onion finely
- chopping garlic finely
- softening onion and garlic
- simmering a sauce
- testing if pasta is cooked

We really enjoyed eating together- we worked together to cook and to lay the table so it was brilliant to share a meal together as a celebration. Look out for the recipe card on the blog so you can try it at home!
