Developed with Science Museum Group, the world's leading alliance of science museums, Gadgeteers will inspire children across the country to feed their imagination over the summer holiday with a reading challenge focused on science and innovation.

The Summer Reading Challenge is delivered in partnership with public libraries across the UK and launches in June and July. Children can take part through their local library or at home through the online platform.

This year's Summer Reading Challenge book collection features 67 inspiring titles for different reading levels encompassing picture books, early readers and middle grade titles, with fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and graphic novels included. The books all engage with the key Gadgeteers themes of everyday science, invention and creation and fun with friends.

Apple and Cherry visit to Greenwich Park

It was a very hot day when Cherry and Apple visited Greenwich Park on Friday but that didn't stop us having fun! We played in the playground and especially enjoyed the sandpit and climbing frames. We also played parachute games and Duck Duck Goose!

Pear and Orange Trip to Greenwich Park

On Thursday 14th July Pear and Orange Tree classes visited Greenwich Park. We went by train and had a great time at the playground and enjoyed a picnic in the park.

Year One Reading

This afternoon we decided to have our Guided Reading lesson outside. We got into our reading groups and shared some fiction story books. We supported each other by helping our friends to sound out words they were unsure of and used the pictures to help ourselves predict what might happen each part of the story.

Year 6 Cycling Reward Trip

This week, our Year 6s enjoyed a cycle along the Q14, through Woolwich and then onto the Thames Barrier.

The children learnt the basics of highway safety, gear changing and navigating the London cycle network.
