To support Year 6 transition to secondary school, all children took part in Year 6 MFL transition week last week. Children who are likely to continue with French at their next school worked with Ms Chapman to practise some new vocabulary and recap some grammar points they have met over their 4 years of French studies. Other children used the prior knowledge of French to explore new vocabulary and grammar concepts in Spanish with teachers using Linguascope to support their understanding, and some children used iPads and headsets to experience languages such as Mandarin and German, as a taster for some of the opportunities they might have on offer at their next school.
